Peter Peter pumpkin eater

Grew his own, and grew them sweeter

He like them baked

  He like them plain

Organic soil and pure clean rain

Made them healthy

 made them tasty

Tended softly never hasty

Sold them at the farmers store

Once you have one you’ll want more

       Zen Friends

Jack and Jill went up the hill

to visit their Zen garden

To sit and ponder- let thoughts wander

‘Bout things they want to be

An artist, a writer, an injustice fighter

A grower of green tea

Best of all they clearly see,

Good FRIENDS they’ll always be.

With kumquats and raisins

a healthy good snack

Something so yummy for Jill and for Jack

They breathed in so slowly

  the air clean and crisp

Gazing at clouds

the puffies and wisp

They talked for a while

 had time to consider

Then gathered their trash

 they don’t want to litter

They skipped down the hill

feeling happy and free

Glad they are best friends

like you and like me

 GOOSEY GANDER

Goosey Goosey Gander

Followed Alexander

Pecking at his pocket

Tugging at his sleeve

Trying to eat the cookies

that were meant for him and me!

Goosey Goosey Gander

Go play with Salamander

He’s hiding ‘neath the bushes

 or up the garden tree.

Shoo Shoo Goosey Gander

Go play and let us be!

FRY-man PIE-man

My Friend FRY-man met Simon PIE-man

Going to the fair

Said my friend FRY-man to the pie man

How does your pie compare?

               How is it made?

               What’s in your pie?

                Is it good for me?

Organic wheat?

Or gluten free?

With honey from the bees?

Is it fruit from local farms?

Raised with care and passion?

With cage free eggs

                and no trans fat …

I’ll have a proper ration

 Himself the elf

A little elf sat by himself

Beneath the flowering tree

Wondering why grownups pass

 No longer do they see

When they were kids

They saw him there

They played amongst the fairies

I think they lost the sight of him

When they stopped drinking dairy

  ****

With soda’s and Latte’s

Espressos and tea

They’re missing the magical visions of me

So drink all your milk,

Make your bones big and strong

If they say they can’t see me

You just play along
